WEEKLY: China's HRC export prices largely stable, trades still dull

Chinese export prices for commercial-grade hot-rolled coils (HRC) stayed flat during August 23-29, while overseas buying of China-origin coils remained limited, Mysteel's weekly market roundup shows

Earlier in the week, mainstream offers from Chinese mills stood around $480-485/tonne FOB, while counter bids from overseas traders sat around $470/t FOB. However, offering prices from Chinese mills weakened as concerns mounted over rising domestic HRC inventories, sources said. Chinese exporters were also facing stricter regulations over tax filing
