MYSTEEL: China's August FeCr output refreshes 14-month record

China's output of high-carbon ferrochrome (FeCr) increased by around 1.6% on month to 813,800 tonnes in August, reaching the highest level since July last year, according to Mysteel's latest survey covering 95% of domestic capacity. Compared to the year-ago level, last month's production rose by a larger 2.7%.

Within the total, output in Inner Mongolia, China's primary production hub of the ferroalloy, reached 600,800 tonnes last month, registering an on-month rise of 1.4% and a sharper on-year increase of 13.2%, the survey results showed.
