WEEKLY: China's met coke stocks jump amid holiday lulls

The combined total of metallurgical coke stocks held by the 230 independent coke producers Mysteel regularly tracks jumped by 9.1% to 425,400 tonnes during the week to October 9 from the week prior, Mysteel's latest survey showed.
  Survey respondents mainly blamed the stock accumulation among the surveyed coke makers on slack trading of the raw material during China's National Day holiday over October 1-8, as many steelmakers focused on consuming their current inventories after active replenishment before the holiday break.   Indeed, Mysteel's survey of 247 blast furnace
