On October 15, the market prices of cobalt chloride and cobalt sulfate moved up Yuan 500/t and 2,000/t individually to Yuan 9,500-10,100/t and 81,000-90,000/t respectively. In addition, the price of electrolytic cobalt stood at Yuan 368,500-380,500/t, moving down Yuan 1,000/t from the previous trading day.The offer for a small amount of cobalt sulfate has been quoted as high as Yuan 85,000-90,000/tonne. Following high-priced transactions in small batches, market quotations have subsequently risen. With the anticipated tight supply of cobalt intermediates in the later stage, upward momentum for cobalt sulfate remains.
