Last week, the spot price of cobalt intermediates was quoted at USD $25.826.0 per pound, remaining unchanged. Market liquidity was extremely limited, with no transactions concluded. Only an earlier transaction at USD $25.8 per pound was recorded, while current offers remain at USD $26.0/lb. Shipments of cobalt intermediates from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are progressing slowly. Recently, due to discrepancies in cobalt testing in the DRC, the government may introduce new regulations regarding unified testing institutions or testing requirements in the future. According to feedback from the surveys, this incident has directly impacted the speed of customs clearance and shipment, but has not resulted in a halt in shipments. Currently, the loading and shipments remain sluggish. As a result, there are concerns that domestic arrivals in April may show little improvement, while a significant increase in arrivals is expected between May and June.
