On March 24, the price of electrolytic cobalt moved up Yuan 432/tonne to Yuan 424,364-427,864/tonne from the previous trading day. However, the prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride continued to remain table at Yuan 95,000/t-98,000/t and 115,000-120,000/t respectively. Firmly supported by raw material costs, mainstream smelters were determined to hold prices, though downstream buyers showed strong resistance to price increases, keeping the prevailing transaction price at around Yuan 93,000/tonne.
