WEEKLY: China's SiMn prices slip further on thin sales

China's silicomanganese (SiMn) prices slipped again over the week of November 3-7, with the national price of 6517 SiMn under Mysteel's assessment reaching Yuan 5,595/tonne ($786/t) including the 13% VAT on November 7, lower by Yuan 36/t from one week earlier.

Prices in the derivative market also lost ground, reflecting the fluctuations in the country's ferrous futures markets generally. Last Friday, the most-traded SiMn contract on the Zhengzhou Futures Exchange for delivery in January 2026 closed the daytime trading session at Yuan 5,760/t, lower by Yuan 32/t from the settlement
