MYSTEEL: Taiwan's Oct stainless imports tumble 22% MoM as Indonesian shipments fall

Taiwan's stainless steel imports fell sharply to 103,900 tonnes in October 2025, down 29,700 tonnes or 22.2% from September, and 9.2% lower on year, according to Taipei Customs data.

The decline further underscores Taiwan's status as a net importer of stainless steel, a position reinforced by persistently high local production costs, particularly for stainless steel scrap and electricity.
