WEEKLY: China's SiMn prices touch 5-month low

China's silicomanganese (SiMn) prices continued to fall during November 24-28, with the national price of 6517 SiMn under Mysteel's assessment touching a five-month low of Yuan 5,494/tonne ($777/t) including the 13% VAT on November 28, lower by Yuan 17/t from one week before.

Prices of the ferroalloy in the derivative market also weakened last week. On November 28, the most-traded SiMn contract on the Zhengzhou Futures Exchange for delivery in March 2026 closed the daytime trading session at Yuan 5,616/t, down by Yuan 12/t from the contract's settlement price on November 21,
