Mongolia to step up coal shipments to China's Ganqimaodu port

Mongolia is taking multiple measures to boost its coal exports through the Gashuunsukhait-Ganqimaodu border port, the largest gateway for Mongolian coal to enter the Chinese market, state media Montsame reported on December 10, citing government decisions made during a meeting on the same day.

The Mongolian government plans to transfer 5.3 hectares of unused land at the 66-hectre Gashuunsukhait port back to the Border Port Authority to improve truck traffic through this area. This parcel of land was granted to Smart Eco Trans LLC in 2022 for the establishment of automatic transport terminal
