China's crude stainless steel production fell sharply in February, as extensive holiday-related maintenance stoppages and production halts across multiple mills disrupted operations, Mysteel's latest survey results show.

Total crude stainless output from the 43 Chinese mills under Mysteel's regular tracking stood at 2.71 million tonnes in February, plummeting by 826,400 tonnes or 23.4% from January, and down 435,300 tonnes or 13.8% from the same month last year.
