On March 18, the price of electrolytic cobalt increased Yuan 6,932/tonne to Yuan 430,045-432,955/tonne from the previous trading day. In addition, the prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride still remained unchanged at Yuan 95,000/t-98,000/t and 115,000-120,000/t respectively.With strong support from raw material costs, mainstream smelters of cobalt sulfate have a clear intention to hold prices firm. However, downstream manufacturers showed strong resistance to high prices. As a result, the mainstream market transaction price remained at Yuan 94,000/tonne.
