Steel production among Chinese electric-arc-furnace (EAF) steelmakers rose for the third straight week during March 13-19, as more mini-mills across the country resumed operations from holiday mode, Mysteel's survey showed.
During the latest survey period, the average capacity utilization rate among the 94 independent EAF steelmakers under Mysteel's tracking went up 6.1 percentage points from the prior week to reach 56.6%, while their average operational rate also increased by 9.6 percentage points on week to 66.9%.     The latest growth in
