Taiwan's CSC hikes steel list prices for May sales

China Steel Corp (CSC), Taiwan's largest steel mill and headquartered in South Taiwan's Kaohsiung, has decided to raise the list prices of its major steel items for local sales in May to partly offset its higher production costs and to reflect firming steel prices in global markets, according to the company's latest release published on its website on April 15.

This will mark the fifth consecutive month that CSC has raised its list prices of major steel products for local sales, with the total increase for hot-rolled coil (HRC) from January to May reaching TWD 3,500/tonne ($111/t), Mysteel Global noted.
