The Indonesian government has further strengthened export controls over natural resources. Starting from June 1, exports of three strategic resource commoditiespalm oil, coal, and ferroalloyswill be uniformly managed through state-owned enterprises designated by the government. At the same time, Malaysia's B15 policy has been implemented, leading to a strong rally in palm oil, which led the gains across vegetable oils. On the external front, the Malaysian palm oil market has been closed for the past two days, so Dalian prices are temporarily ignoring weak production area factors. On the spot side, three new purchase vessels were added yesterday, bringing the total to four including Friday evening's arrivals. Arrival volumes in June and July will be huge, and near-month supply pressure remains a concern.
