DAILY: China's thermal coal market holds steady amid thin port demand

China's portside thermal coal market held broadly steady for a third consecutive session on June 10, with thin spot demand capping any upside while firm cost support at ports prevented price cuts.

Cost-price inversion remained widespread across northern ports, anchoring most offers. A handful of holders of costlier cargoes edged quotes lower, but most sellers held the line, refusing to sell into a loss.
