Overnight CBOT soybean futures closed lower, pressured by falling crude oil prices and a stronger U.S. dollar. The USDA's weekly crop progress report showed that as of the week ending June 21, U.S. soybean condition rated good-to-excellent stood at 66%, unchanged from both the previous week and the same period last year. The emergence rate reached 93% and the blooming rate 9%, both ahead of last year's pace. Export inspections came in at 241,000 tonnes, below market expectations of 300,000550,000 tonnes. Progress in U.S.-Iran negotiations eased geopolitical concerns, while crude oil fell more than 3%, dragging on the soy complex. Ample rainfall across the Midwest continues to support crop development, and expectations of a bumper harvest remain a persistent overhang on prices.
