However, this had yet to be officially confirmed by Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and remained highly uncertain. The Ministry had previously made clear that no policy formally approving any relaxation of nickel production quotas had yet been approved, and mining companies would need to submit RKAB revision applications in July 2026.
