WEEKLY: Chinese BF mills' production rises to 13-m high

Production among China's blast furnace (BF) steelmakers increased for the third straight week during June 19-25, reaching the highest level since May last year, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

During the latest survey period, the average capacity utilization rate among the 247 BF steel producers under Mysteel's tracking increased by 0.3 percentage point on week to 91.1%, while their combined daily hot metal output also picked up by 0.7% from the prior week to average 2.43 million tonnes/day.
