While the lithium ore spots availability remained low, the inventories continued to shift from traders to lithium converters. Major converters have been moving quickly on procurement. Nonetheless, the port physical inventories have recovered modestly from recent lows following recent port arrivals.
For lithium carbonate, the prices moved rangebound around Yuan 150,000/tonne, which was believed by the market players as the recent low. While the supply ramp-up is underway, the lithium carbonate inventory kept falling with downstream production scheduling continuing to create new highs. And the spot transactions slightly picked up yesterday on the dip. It is prorjected that the lithium prices will keep rangebound in the short period.
