WEEKLY: Chinese BF mills' production drops further to 2-mth low

China's blast furnace (BF) steelmakers continued to scale back production during the past week as more mills began to lose money on their operations, Mysteel's latest survey showed.
The average capacity utilization rate among the 247 BF steelmakers under Mysteel' tracking dropped for the second straight week, down by another 0.8 percentage point to touch a two-month low of 89.8% over July 10-16, and their combined daily hot metal output decreased by 0.9% on week to average
