WEEKLY: Chinese miners' iron ore output, stocks both shrink

After a brief rebound in the previous week, production of iron ore concentrates among Chinese mining companies retreated again in the past week, while mine-side iron ore inventories continued to decline, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

Total daily production of iron ore concentrates among the 186 mining and concentrating enterprises under Mysteel's tracking nationwide averaged 451,200 tonnes/day during July 10-16, lower by 0.9% from the previous week. Meanwhile, the average capacity utilization rate among these 186 companies also dropped 0.5 percentage point on week to 57.7%,
