Indonesia's coal exports jump 15% YoY in June as output curbs ease

Indonesia's coal exports of all types reached 40.07 million tonnes in June, up 14.7% from a year earlier but down 1% from May, according to data released by Statistics Indonesia (BPS).

After five straight months of year-on-year declines, June shipments rose above the prior-year level for the first time this year and ranked as the second-highest monthly volume after May, proof that Indonesia has begun to ease its earlier production-control policy. At the beginning of 2026, the Ministry of Energy and
