DAILY:Seaborne iron ore index edges down slightly with relatively moderate liquidity

The seaborne index fell with the limited market liquidity, on Friday, August 7, 2026. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines decreased by 1.31% or $1.25/dmt to $94.25/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index decreased by 1.18% or $1.2/dmt to $100.45/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Primary market activity has softened somewhat. No seaborne cargo trades were concluded on any public platforms. Although one parcel of BRBF was offered on the public platforms, it was failed to attract any inquires.
