DAILY: Seaborne iron ore prices increase significantly amid increased trading activities

The seaborne iron ore index increased on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines increased $1.20/dmt to $95.45/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index up $0.75/dmt to $101.25/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Trading activities in the primary market improved compared to yesterday. One parcel of MACF with a September 9-18 laycan was sold at a fixed price of $95.20/dmt on 60.5% Fe basis and other parcel of NF with a September 6-15 laycan was sold at a fixed price of $95.60/dmt
