DAILY: China's coking coal market moves higher on tight supply

China's coking coal market extended the upward trajectory on August 13, as persistent tight supply continued spurring purchases from both end-users and speculative traders, according to market sources.

On Thursday, Mysteel Coking Coal Index (MCCI), which tracks coking coal prices nationwide in China, stood at Yuan 1,751.7/tonne ($259.8/t) including the 13% VAT, up Yuan 6.9/t from the previous session.
