DAILY:Seaborne iron ore index edges lower amid fresh trades

Seaborne iron ore prices moved down slightly on Wednesday, August 19. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines decreased by 0.36% or $0.35/dmt to $95.75/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index decreased by 0.30% or $0.30/dmt to $100.65/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Liquidity in the primary market was firming. One parcel of MACF with a September 11-20 laycan was sold at a fixed price of $96.2/dmt on 60.5% Fe basis on the platform. Later, one parcel of BRBF with a September 3-12 laycan was finally offered at a fixed price of
