DAILY:Seaborne iron ore index dips but liquidity sound

Seaborne iron ore prices edged down slightly, but market liquidity remained fairly good on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines decreased by 0.16% or $0.15/dmt to $95.3/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index decreased by 0.35% or $0.35/dmt to $100.9/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Liquidity in the primary market remained good. On the public platform, MACF was concluded at a fixed price of $95.90/dmt on a 61% Fe basis. In addition, the miners separately negotiated JMBF, LONS and Liberian fines via tender at undisclosed prices. "This MACF fixed price, when converted, already implies a
