DAILY: Seaborne iron ore prices decrease amid limited trading activities

Seaborne iron ore prices moved lower slightly on Thursday, August 27. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines decreased $0.75/dmt to $97.25/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index decreased $0.60/dmt to $101.75/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Trading activities in the primary market remained relatively limited. One parcel of NF with a September 30th-October 9th laycan was sold at a fixed price of $97.60/dmt on 61% Fe basis on the public platform. Tenders of SSCJ and JMBF were sold at undisclosed prices via bilateral negotiations with miner.
