On August 27, the market price of electrolytic cobalt increased Yaun 500/tonne to Yuan 305,591-308,091/tonne. In addition, the market prices of cobalt chloride and cobalt sulfate continued to be flat at Yuan 83,000-85,000/tonne and 68,000/t-70,000/tonne respectively.Yesterday, cobalt salt market sentiment remained subdued. Cobalt chloride is expected to remain weakly stable in the near term, supported by cost floors and firming sentiment among sellers, while cobalt sulfate faces more pronounced downward pressure due to weakening cost support and the impact of low-priced cargoes. Downstream sectors, including battery and magnetic materials industries, largely maintained just-in-time replenishment, with little appetite for largescale procurement. The cobalt chloride market posted a modest decline this week. Despite persistently tepid demand, sellers' willingness to offload at lower prices weakened, constrained by high-cost inventories accumulated earlier.
