Despite signs of tightening upstream raw material supply, prices remained under pressure in the short term amid sluggish downstream demand and weak market sentiment.Overall market activity was muted and downstream consumers procured cautiously, mostly on a hand-to-mouth basis, with no large-scale transactions to support prices. The cobalt chloride segment was particularly subdued, with some producers reporting that the market saw nominal prices but few actual deals at current levels.The direct downstream for cobalt chloride, Co3O4 plants, operated at low utilization rates, reducing their procurement of cobalt chloride.
