DAILY: China's coking coal sentiment softens, MCCI gain slows

Bullish sentiment in China's coking coal market softened recently amid growing concerns over near-term demand, with Mysteel's benchmark coking coal price recording a narrower gain on September 4.

Last Friday, Mysteel Coking Coal Index (MCCI), which tracks coking coal prices nationwide in China, stood at Yuan 2,266/tonne ($337.6/t) including the 13% VAT, up Yuan 12.2/t from the previous session. While the MCCI remained on the growing track, the increase last Friday had slowed from the Yuan 20-60/t jumps
