WEEKLY: Chinese EAF mills' production rises for 3rd week

Production among Chinese electric-arc-furnace (EAF) steelmakers has increased further in the past week as more mills resumed production from maintenance stoppages, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

The average capacity utilization rate among the 94 independent EAF steel producers throughout China under Mysteel's tracking rose for the third straight week during September 4-10, edging higher by another 0.76 percentage point to reach 54.17%.
