WEEKLY: Chinese EAF mills' production increases further

Production among Chinese electric-arc-furnace (EAF) steelmakers continued climbing in the past week driven by an increase in mill restarts, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

The average capacity utilization rate among the 94 independent EAF steel producers throughout China under Mysteel's tracking increased for the fourth straight week during September 11-17 to reach 56.85%, rising at the faster rate of 2.68 percentage points on week.
