NBS: Shanxi's Aug coal output shrinks 31%, but bounce back is possible

Shanxi produced 74.6 million tonnes of raw coal in August, down 30.9% year on year, showed data released by the National Bureau of Statistics. The decline moderated compared from July's 35.8%, but the province, which mined about 1.3 billion tonnes in 2025 (27% of the national total), still ran at roughly 69% of its average monthly output (108.7 million tonnes) last year.
