WEEKLY: China's rebar output rises further on week

China's rebar production rose for a second consecutive week over September 10-16, with the tonnage produced by the 137 Chinese steelmakers under Mysteel's tracking rising by 1.4% or 24,700 tonnes on week to 1.74 million tonnes, according to Mysteel's latest survey result.

The mild recovery was the result of the structural production adjustment of steelmakers, who had decided to allocate some hot metal to long steel production as the market for steel flats was coming under pressure, sources noted.
