NBS: China's rebar output drops 12% YoY over Jan-Aug

China's rebar output registered 113.54 million tonnes over January-August this year, logging a significant on-year slide of 11.8%, according to the latest release from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on September 17.

In August alone, China produced 12.59 million tonnes of rebar, sliding by 4.8% from the July level and down by a sharper 18.5% compared to the same month last year, Mysteel Global calculated based on the NBS release.
