DAILY: Seaborne iron ore prices decrease significantly amid improved trading activities

Seaborne iron ore prices decreased on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines decreased $0.85/dmt to $92.80/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index decreased $0.50/dmt to $97.50/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Trading activities in the primary market remained active. One parcel of NF with an October 26-November 4 laycan was traded at fixed price of $93.20/dmt basis 61% Fe. And another parcel of PBF with an October 27-November 5 laycan was traded at fixed price of $92.75/dmt basis 61% Fe.
