WEEKLY: Australian, Brazilian iron ore shipments rise 1.2% WoW

After a brief retreat in the previous week, total iron ore shipments to global destinations from the 20 ports and 17 mining companies in Australia and Brazil tracked by Mysteel rebounded again during September 28-October 4 to reach 27 million tonnes, up 324,000 tonnes or 1.2% on week.

The increase was attributed to the higher shipments from Australia, which more than offset the drop in Brazilian deliveries, Mysteel Global noted.
