Tin Demand Price Supply
Copper prices fluctuated lower during last week (October 12-16). On the macro side, stronger-than-expected U.S. inflation raised rate-hike expectations and strengthened the USD index, weighing on copper prices. Fundamentally, increased arrivals of domestic and imported cargo slightly improved spot supply. Although trading sentiment improved somewhat when prices fell, overall demand remained limited. With supply outpacing demand, China's refined copper retail inventory rebounded, weighing on copper prices and spot premiums.
