The lithium carbonate futures rebounded staged a short rally after falling for several days, though the fundamentals did not present material improvement, with cathode production scheduling reducing in November while carbonate production rising still. Therefore, the rebound yesterday was partly due to the shorts taking profit and leaving the market, and the rumor of an early restart of Jianxiawo in early November seemed to have failed for the moment, slightly easing the market sentiment. Yet, the spot market transactions were lackluster when lithium prices rebounded yesterday, with the basis weakening to some extent.
