WEEKLY: Chinese EAF mills' production rebounds slightly

Production of Chinese electric-arc-furnace (EAF) steelmakers recovered modestly during October 29-November 4, as some mills restarted their electric furnaces after completing overhauls, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

In the latest survey period, the average capacity utilization rate among the 94 independent EAF steel producers under Mysteel's tracking increased by 0.81 percentage point on week to 59.78%, while their average operational rate also edged up by 0.68 percentage point from the prior week to 71.23%.
