MEE: No winter curbs on ultra-low emission steel mills

China’s steel mills that can meet all the ultra-low emission requirements or in Category A will be freed from any restrictions or suspensions in the 2019 winter when emergency measures kick in, Liu Youbin, spokesperson China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE), said explicitly at a press conference in Beijing on July 26.
