Russian university develops new method for processing metallurgical waste

Scientists at the Russian National University of Science and Technology MISIS have patented a method for processing gas cleaning slurries and metal fines -- by-products generated during production of primary ferrous metals, the rating agency Rusmet reported.

The uniqueness of the proposed method lies in the possibility of scaling up the recycling process to industrial volumes. It will also reduce production costs and the dependence of metallurgical companies on imported raw materials.
