Lithium resource prices to lack momentum post the holiday

In the face of pessimism haunting the market, the downstream players rarely purchased. In addition, the lithium salt smelters constantly suffered losses since their raw material stocks were procured when the prices were high.
While lithium carbonate prices were falling on poor end-market demand, the prices of spodumene and lepidolite dropped along.

It is expected that the supply of lithium resources will remain sufficient post the holiday as lithium mines and salt lake projects will not significantly reduce the production, but the demand is projected to stay gloomy.
In light of relatively high raw material and finished products inventory carried by lithium salt smelters, the demand for lithium ore is unlikely to rebound quickly.
Taken together, lithium ore prices will probably keep falling post the holiday.
