FLASH: Coal mine accident in NE China's Heilongjiang kills 12

An accident happened at Kunyuan coal mine in Hengshan district, Jixi city, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province on December 20, causing 12 deaths and 13 injured. The cause was still under investigation, Mysteel Global learned from the country's state media CCTV.
The affected mine mainly produces 1/3 coking coal (ash 5%, sulfur 0.3%, VM 29%, GRI 88) with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year, Mysteel learned.   Following the accident, local authorities have requested all coal mines in Hengshan district to halt production from December 21, idling a combined production capacity
