Russia's steel production increases 6% YoY in 2023

Steel production at Russian steel mills in 2023 increased by 6% on year to 73.9 million tonnes, the rating agency Rusmet reported.
Growth is observed at MMK (+16%), PromSort-Ural (+4%), NLMK (+12%), Abinsk Plant (+7%), Tagmet (+4%) and Amurmetal (+30%), while decreases are seen at Balakovo (-9%) and EVRAZ West-Siberian Metal Plant (-7%).   In the reporting period, rail shipments of scrap to Russian steel mills increased by 5% to 14.1 million tonnes
