CONF: Global technical upgrades in dire need amid scarcity of high-quality steel scrap

The global ferrous scrap market is expected to face more significant challenges in the next two decades as the mismatch between supply and demand of high-quality steel scrap worsens, according to Hayashi Seiichi, Chief Executive Officer of Steel Recycling Research (SRR), a research institute focused on steel recycling and environmental issues in Japan and the world.
