On November 14th local time in South Africa, China General Nuclear Power Group's TFC Phase I photovoltaic project officially started construction. This project is the first PV project developed and invested by a Chinese enterprise in South Africa, and also the first entry of CGN into the clean energy market in South Africa, marking the further expansion of its international layout.
The TFC PV Project is located in the Limpopo Province in northeastern South Africa. The project is jointly invested by CGN, China Africa Fund, and local investor KONA. The total installed capacity of the project is 100 megawatts, including 60 megawatts in the first phase. After completion, it is expected to provide 147 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity per year, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 200,000 tonnes.
