On November 18th, the latest news came from Wuhu Economic Development Zone in Anhui Province that the world's first GWh level new solid-state battery production line has officially settled, indicating that solid-state battery technology has officially entered the mass production stage.
The project is invested and constructed by Anhui Axxiva New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The first phase has a planned production capacity of 5 GWh and a designed production capacity of 1.25 GWh. The energy density ratio of the first generation solid-state battery planned for mass production exceeds 280 Wh/kg, and the second generation product will be launched in 2025 with an energy density ratio of over 400 Wh/kg. The third generation product will be launched in 2027 with an energy density ratio of over 500 Wh/kg. At that time, the performance of solid-state batteries will far exceed that of traditional liquid lithium-ion batteries, which is expected to completely solve the range anxiety of electric vehicles.
